Member requirements
Because Dominion Dating is focused on providing a high-quality pool of convictionally biblical Christians, becoming a member is not as simple as just signing up and entering a few contact details. All of our members must meet a biblical standard of both doctrine and piety:
Commitment to historic Christian orthodoxy
- You must believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, our only ultimate and infallible authority, and sufficient to fully equip one with wisdom for salvation and godly living.
- You must believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—Who made everything that has been made, and all very good; and that He is limited by nothing other than His own nature and character, which is holy, righteous, good, severe, loving and merciful.
- You must believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God; was born of the virgin; lived a sinless life; performed miracles; died a vicarious and atoning death; was raised bodily for our justification; ascended to the right hand of the Father from where He now reigns over every created thing; and will personally return in power and glory.
- You must believe that because of Adam’s sin, all mankind is in rebellion against God, and under His judgment; and that the only solution to this rebellion is regeneration by the Holy Spirit and receiving the covering of Christ’s righteousness by faith; and that salvation is therefore by grace alone, through faith alone, with our works adding nothing to our standing before God; yet a faith that saves will always work through love by the power of the indwelling Spirit.
- You must believe that both the saved and the lost shall be resurrected; the saved to unending life, and the lost to unending punishment.
Commitment to historic Christian gendered piety
- You must believe that fulfilling the command to “be fruitful and multiply” is a normal part of joyful obedience to God’s plan for marriage, which involves both having children, and intentionally raising them to know and love God.
- You must believe that a husband is the head of his wife, and is entrusted by God with the delegated duty and authority to rule his family, by guiding, guarding, and providing.
- You must believe that
a wife is one flesh with her husband, and is entrusted with the duty and responsibility of homemaking; faithfully helping her husband by receiving and submitting to his rulership.

Commitment to personal piety
- You must believe in dating as an intentional path towards marriage, that should be pursued under proper spiritual oversight, instead of the modern pattern of “casual dating” that pursues romance and sensuality for the purpose of vain pleasure.
- You must believe in submission to the discipleship of church elders as the normal means that God has given for spiritual oversight; and that if you cannot find a church willing to fulfill this duty, you must establish a good-faith alternative.
- You must be pursuing sexual holiness in preparation for marriage, continually turning away from acts of fornication and immodesty (including pornography, sensual dress, and lustful thoughts), and fighting temptation through time in the Word, confession to God, and submission to the discipleship of wise and holy counselors.
- You must have been under the spiritual oversight of a qualified man for at least three months. Normally this would be a pastor/elder in your church, but we make allowances for Christian fathers discipling their children, and for cases where no sound church exists nearby. If in doubt, see section 1.3.b, “Acceptable Types of Overseers,” in our Terms & Conditions.
We cannot approve your membership without the endorsement of your shepherd, so talk to him before you apply. You will need to provide his contact details during the application process. We will send him a verification form to complete, which will ask him to confirm that you meet the requirements on this page. It will not ask him for any personal details other than his name and email address.
Disqualifications
Please do not apply for membership if any of the following conditions are true, as we will not be able to approve your account:
- You are under 18 years old.
- You are unlawfully divorced (i.e., on account of some other reason than your spouse committing adultery or abandoning you).
- You are registered as a sex offender. Legally and pastorally, we cannot allow people convicted of sex crimes into membership, even if they are sincerely living in repentance.
- You believe in domestic discipline (wife-spanking). This is a serious error and we cannot be party to connecting Christian women with men who believe in it.
- You believe it is acceptable to use or create porn. The promotion of this view has been a blight on the Christian patriarchy movement, and we will in no way tolerate it.
